Happy snowy Sunday LaPazions, take a deep breath and get ready for this catty, shade throwing review of the Real Housewives of Potomac Episode 2. Needless to say when we left the ladies last Sunday Gizelle Bryant, Karen Huger and Charrisse Jackson-Jordan had a little (putting it lightly) heat going on between them. Well, needless to say the ladies just took it up a notch tonight with Karen stating to Gizelle “she shouldn’t have sat in her seat.” Really we’re heated over someone sitting in a seat at a party? Can you say get over yourself Karen and grow up and stop being classless in bringing this type of petty issue to someone else’s gala/party. Which in turn sparks another guest to run upstairs to check on Charrisse who; instantly starts spilling the tea and stating how Gizelle just disrespected her home and was rude… Gizelle, in turn politely ask Charrisse if she could speak with her to see exactly what the issue was and in turn Charrisse give insult to Gizelle by lashing out at her regarding her friend and renown hair stylist Kal. Can you say tacky: As Gizelle is leaving Charisse’s home, she states “I gotta get my grip and I’m gone” sorry I was like what exactly is she talking about? Maybe she just throws out these little tidbits to sound street or young or hip, but, really stop because in finding out who this statement is used you said it so wrong..
Katie: Tonight we saw that she was going to have a special ceremony for her 2 year old twin daughters to receive their Hebrew names, which she had to have her meeting with Rabbi Mark. Katie and her mother converted to Judaism and she was raised and believes in the practices and attends mostly during the high holidays. In turn, she invited Robin Dixon and Gizelle, who showed up late, which just wasn’t cool and then in her private interview she stated that she thought Katie’s Jewish event was like on black people’s time.. HELLO stop Gizelle I like you but, you are over the top. LOL!! During the Naming ceremony at the end the ladies go out back and the conversation turns to I thought you was black and Katie stated she identifies with both races and wants to raise her children the same way and both Gizelle and Robyn; felt to let them know they both identify as black and you can tell as soon as they open their mouths.. (what does that say?):
We finally get to meet the beautiful Ashley Boalch-Darby. Ashley is only 26 years of age is married to a 55 year old Australian Real-Estate Millionaire. Ashley came from very humble beginnings worked very hard to help financially with her younger siblings and her single mother. Went on to attend the University of Maryland and became MS. District of Columbia in 2011 and, with the help of her husband she is opening a restaurant focusing on wholesome ingredients: Ashley, is not as refined as the ladies and right now, honestly, I’m not very sure they are that refined either and you see what I’m speaking of in just a moment. Katie, invites Gizelle and Robyn to attend this social affair “Sip with Socialites” which portions of the bar tab will be donated to “Touching Hearts” which helps inner city youth. Ashley, seems to be a free spirit and fun loving living her life out loud and Gizelle (yup Gizelle) starts acting like the bloodhound on the trail of the ever elusive fox AKA Ashley Darby. Gizelle starts grilling Ashley regarding her marriage, children, the age difference of her mate and then insinuates that Ashley’s husband is using Viagra.. Then, if that wasn’t insulting enough, she calls Ashley a Thot (Ho).
Finally the Lunch heard around Potomac- Gizelle decides she is going to invite to two ladies that she has offended to lunch to try and bury things and move forward but, prior to doing so she (Gizelle) sits her daughters down to help her to compose a letter for both ladies.. Yup, you read that correctly her daughters, whom are like 9 and 11.. These young girls have more insight than their own mother, I hate to say because, the first thing they say is mom just watch your mouth.. LOL!! The girls help in drafting letters to Karen and Charrisse and Gizelle decides to place a petty yet childish statement in the letter regarding the seating..WHY!!!??? The ladies arrive at the lunch and the body language is all wrong from the beginning- Everyone has their defenses up and the whole conversation goes left with Karen and Charrisse abruptly leaving the lunch and nothing being resolved and Gizelle still not seeing some of what she did was improper. Karen needs to have several seats-she feels she is always right, she does no wrong, and she will have you bow and kiss the ring before she will ever apologize for anything..
LaPazions, I feel like we’re watching the mean girls strike again. These ladies have no knowledge of what true etiquette really means, what humility looks like, nor what friendship should be. I know you all have a lot to say about tonight and I cannot wait to hear from you. Tell me thus far who is your favorite Potomac Housewife?
