LaPazions, last night The Fragrance Foundation Awards took place here in NY at the Alice Tully Hall located at the Lincoln Center, and it was truly a smell good star studded event, with the whose-who out on the red carpet.
The Fragrance Foundation Awards celebrated the global creative achievements in the world of perfumery (who really knew?) I mean the mission statement of the Fragrance Foundation really says it all honestly:
Innovation. Education. Appreciation.
The Fragrance Foundation is dedicated to serving its member companies as a resource for industry expertise, innovation and education.
Passionately devoted to increasing the awareness and appreciation of fragrance in all its forms
With that being stated, I wanted to give you the link to the winners of this years awards and the different categories- You can see all at: http://fragrance.org/fragrance-awards/usa-winners/
LaPazions let’s waste no more time and get right into what we really came here for, the red carpet review!
OMG!! Wow- Adriana Lima is killing this carpet and by far is my Best dressed of the evening and get’s all five (5) stars:This gown is just flattering her very toned and sexy figure, she is giving us all kinds of sexy without even over trying. This is perfect for the model and Marc Jacobs never disappoints. He knows just what flatters a woman’s silhouette.
I have to pause because I didn’t really recognize Laverne Cox:Sorry but, I hate to be the barer of bad news this look is such a great miss for Laverne. I don’t know exactly what she was going for but, it just read and looked like the lamp shade from back when (giving no shade). This is a Leanne Marshall gown and I just think she missed the mark greatly. From the hair (what is she hiding) the makeup and then down to the shoes it just was a great fail.. I have to give this look only Three (3) Stars
Hari Nef is taking the carpet:Why? I hate when bad things happen in fashion.. I mean in all honesty this gown by Chanel is beautiful but, just isn’t right for Hari. It didn’t compliment her body-shape the color wasn’t good on her nor the hair, makeup or the shoes… WHY!! Totally fail.. I give this look only two (2) Stars.
OMG!! I so love this lady Ms. Tracee Ellis Ross:I have to tell you she is becoming her own Boss Ross much like her mother who is and was such a style maven. I mean who can rock a pants suit and just slay? Tracee is wearing a Paule KA and is owning every once of this suit.. Her hair and makeup are just beautiful and she is another one of my favorites- I give her five (5) stars.
The models are in full effect on this carpet- Petra Nemcova is killing it:Honestly, Petra made this gown- meaning her personality gave this gorgeous gown life. I mean when you think of Designer Naeem Khan you only think of glamour, beauty, and unabashed sex appeal.. His clothing seems to just breath on there own but, add a fabulous model that understands this gown has life it becomes pure magic. I have to say this is another one of my top looks and it definitely takes home five (5) stars.
Hello my grandmother called-and-wants to know what did you do to her sofa- Karolina Kurkova:LaPazions I’m sorry I don’t care how much she worked and tossed this frock by Erdem (spring 2016) – it just didn’t work.. This was almost as bad as when Kim K. West was pregnant with North, and attend the Met Gala wearing her grandmothers sofa.. This is right up there with that.. Oh Karolina I’m sorry someone did you so wrong and this lands you in the bottom with only two (2) Stars.
Oh they honored Joanna Coles last night and I have to say I really liked her look:Joanna wore a really well tailored black and white pants suit with a necklace I wanted to just own. I thought this look was mature but, still rather fresh, fashion forward and gave a little edge to Joanna.. I definitely gave her four (4) stars.
Genesis Rodriguez- I thought her look a little too simplistic and needed a few tweaks:I would’ve like to see maybe the crop top shortened just a little to show a little more midriff-not such a high waisted skirt and the skirt just a bit longer to balance her out more.. I would say this look get’s about two and half (2.5) stars..
We know you have your favorite looks and we cannot wait to hear your feedback.. Who do you think should have got best dressed or received the razzy?
